On November 1, 2015, the largest Ukrainian state energy holding, Naftogaz Ukrainy, will enter the market with the prices of 2-13% lower than the previous obligatory prices, set before the law on gas market took effect, according to Naftogaz.
According to the proposal of the company, gas prices for industrial consumers (from October 1 the government does not regulate the prices for these categories of consumers) will be divided into several groups: depending on monthly consumption volume, advance payments, and outstanding debts to Naftogaz.
It is worth noting that in October Naftogaz sold gas to the industry at a price of UAH 6,600 per 1,000 cubic meters (excluding VAT) - at a level that was set by the National Commission, which performs state regulation in the energy and utilities sector (NKREKP). In turn, the price offers of private gas traders were below those of Naftogaz, which reduced its share in this segment.
