Russian ruble resumes its decline

Trading on the Moscow Stock Exchange on Tuesday, October 27, saw the ruble resuming its decline against the euro and the dollar following the drop in oil prices.

Thus, the dollar exchange rate rose by 30 kopecks to 63.32 RUB/USD. The euro rose 34 kopecks to 69.99 RUB/EUR, according to the report.

The Russian stock market has also collapsed following the ruble's weakening. According to the Moscow Stock Exchange data, the MICEX index dropped 0.80% to 1698.42 points. The RTS index fell 1.72% to 843.24 points.
