"I hope for full and unconditional implementation of the Minsk agreements. It is extremely important for everyone today. Economic sanctions against Russia must be preserved until complete implementation of the Minsk agreements," Vejonis said.

According to the Latvian President, first of all it concerns the withdrawal of all foreign troops and military weapons from the territory of Ukraine.

"The revision of economic sanctions against Russia is impossible without the fulfillment of these main provisions. If Russia talks about postponement of implementation of the Minsk agreements or shifting them in time, nothing good will come of it," he stressed.
