Experts of the World Bank pointed out that the key reform that contributed to the improvement in the rating was simplification of the business registration, according to the Doing Business website.

At the same time, connection to the grid, obtaining building permits, conducting cross-border trade and bankruptcy procedure remain the problematic issues for businesses in Ukraine.

As UNIAN reported earlier, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko pledged that Ukraine would rise at least ten places in the Doing Business 2016 ranking.

In March this year, Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Aivaras Abromavicius, said that Ukraine expects to improve its ranking on the World Bank's 2015 Ease of Doing Business index by 25 positions.

In March 2014, the Ukrainian government led by Arseniy Yatsenyuk announced plans to enter the top-100 of Doing Business rating by means of implementing economic reforms and simplifying regulatory procedures.
