Ukraine are holding talks with Turkmenistan on oil supplies and studying the best ways to transport gas to Ukraine, the press service of the Ministry of Regional Development, Construction and Communal Living of Ukraine said, with reference to Deputy Prime Minister Hennadiy Zubko.
"Supplies of Turkmen gas are very important for us. The only thing is that we need to find a rational way for supplies. But now, the main negotiations are being held on deliveries of Turkmen oil," Zubko said.
According to Zubko, the parties understand how it is possible to supply oil.
"We understand that we have an opportunity to supply crude oil and petroleum products by ferries in order to diversify their supplies to Ukraine," he said.

On Thursday, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko is visiting Turkmenistan. The main topics of the talks with President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow are the intensification of interstate political dialogue at the highest level and the deepening of mutually beneficial cooperation in trade, economic, agricultural, energy, financial, scientific, technical, cultural, humanitarian and tourism spheres.
