The National Bank of Ukraine has claimed that the GDP growth in Ukraine increased by 1% in the third quarter compared with the previous one, NBU Governor Valeriya Gontareva said at a meeting with members of the American Chamber of Commerce on Friday.
At the same time, according to Gontareva, the regulator has kept its forecast of drop in GDP at 11.6% at year-end.
As UNIAN reported ealier, the NBU plans to buy more dollars in the market if supply exceeds demand, according to Gontareva. The monetary authority will also complete stress tests of Ukraine’s 20 largest banks by the end of November, she said, according to Bloomberg.
