"We're step-by-step preparing for the trilateral meeting of experts from the EU, Russia, Ukraine, which will take place in Brussels. To prevent any speculations, the next round of the expert consultations is scheduled for November 9-10," she wrote.

Mykolska also reported the discussions would focus on the further use of WTO tools to eliminate trade barriers with Russia.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the previous round of the tripartite talks was held in September, but the Russian delegation failed to substantiate its trade claims against Ukraine, in particular, with respect toa free trade zone between Ukraine and the EU, which is to become effective on January 01, 2016.

At that time, Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk stated in September that Ukraine was ready for the Russian food embargo and other radical measures it might introduce. In turn, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev confirmed late October that Moscow was set to impose trade restrictions on Ukraine from January 01, 2016.
