Tax reform to facilitate cooperation with IMF: Gontareva

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) supports the tax reform proposed by the Ministry of Finance and believes that this reform option will give Ukraine the opportunity to continue cooperation with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), NBU Governor Valeryia Gontareva said at a traditional meeting with the representatives of Ukraine’s top 40 banks, according to the NBU website.

"The National Bank supports tax reform proposed by the Ministry of Finance. In our opinion, this is the kind of a tax reform that provides an opportunity to draft a more balanced budget for the next year and to continue cooperation with the IMF," said Gontareva.

She also reminded that the government expects the IMF assessment mission to arrive shortly.
