Capital Bank depositors start receiving guaranteed payment

The Individual Deposits Guarantee Fund has started today to carry out payments of the guaranteed amount to the depositors of PJSC Commercial Bank Capital that is currently undergoing the liquidation procedure, the Fund reported on its website.

The payments will be made until December 14, 2015, inclusive via PrivatBank. After that date, depositors will need to submit individual written requests to the Fund prior to the date when the bank is designated as a liquidated legal entity in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities.

As UNIAN reported earlier, theIndividual Deposits Guarantee Fund started the liquidation of Capital Bank on October 30, according to a decision by the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) on revoking the banking license and liquidation of the bank. The liquidation procedure will take two years, until October 29, 2017.

The provisional administration has been operating at the bank since July 20, in compliance with the NBU decision on recognizing the bank as insolvent.

Capital Bank has operated in the Ukrainian market since 1991 and belonged to the group of small banks in terms of assets.
