As of November 1, the state debt in value added tax (VAT) refunds to businesses totaled UAH 23.9 billion, according to the press service of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine.
According to the report, the VAT refund debt has decreased by UAH 9 billion, from UAH 32.9 billion at the beginning of the year.
In January-October, the state paid UAH 52.5 billion in VAT refunds, with UAH 12.6 billion to be additionally reimbursed by the end of the year.
As UNIAN reported earlier, the total amount of VAT reimbursements to businesses in October 2015 shrank by 9.8% from September, to UAH 6.935 billion.
The State Fiscal Service addressed the Finance Ministry with a proposal to issue domestic government loan bonds to repay VAT refund arrears accumulated.
