Russia classifies information about property abroad — media

The officials denied journalists access to the list of Russian land and real estate abroad, according to RBC news agency.

"For the national security considerations, in connection with the unfriendly policy of some countries, the information on overseas federal property is not published on the website of the Federal Property Agency. For the same reasons, the provision of this information at the request of the media is undesirable," according to the Federal Property Agency.

It is reported that the journalists failed to find an official document which restricts disclosing such information, but the officials still declined to provide data on overseas property in federal ownership.
