"For many years, we've shown very low and poor performance in such areas as the restoration of solvency, or bankruptcy, or issues regarding execution of court decisions. These are two indicators that are the most showing and lead to corruption," she said.

Lyapina has called on the public and the public authorities to whom it may concern to accelerate the adoption of the necessary legislative changes.

"I urge the public to stimulate the necessary reforms, and the Ministry of Justice understands it, but it needs help, significant help, to change this. There was no resistance in matters of business registration, but the issue of the execution of court decisions implies colossal corruption interest and sees resistance to any initiative," she said.

Experts of the World Bank pointed out that the key reform that contributed to the improvement in the rating was simplification of the business registration, according to the Doing Business website.

At the same time, connection to the grid, obtaining building permits, conducting cross-border trade and bankruptcy procedure remain the problematic issues for businesses in Ukraine.
