Russia's budget deficit amounts to $12 bln year to date

The Federal budget deficit in January-October 2015 amounted to $12 billion, or 1.3% of GDP, according to preliminary estimates of the Ministry of Finance, Russian information agency RIA Novosti has reported, with reference to First Deputy Minister of Finance Tatyana Nesterenko.

At the same time, oil and gas deficit amounted to 9.6% of GDP over a ten-month period.

"Revenues of the federal budget amounted to $177.8 billion over 10 months, or 19% of GDP (85.4% of the figure budgeted for the current year). Expenditures amounted to $189.8 billion, or 20.2% of GDP (77 1% of the planned annual expenditure level)," the report says.
