Ukraine is increasing daily volume of natural gas imports from the EU through the territory of Slovakia, while reducing purchases from Russia.
According to Slovakia's gas transport operator Eustream, on November 8 Ukraine imported 20.662 million cubic meters (mcm), on November 9 - 22.977 mcm, on November 10 - 27.07 mcm. Ukraine's request for November 11 is 28.6 mcm.
At the same time, according to the state-run enterprise Ukrtransgaz, daily volume of gas imports from Russia has been reduced. On November 7, Ukraine imported 42.303 mcm of Russian gas, on November 8 - 24.097 mcm, on November 9 - 10.069 mcm.

At this, Naftogaz chief added that the price of $227 per 1,000 cubic meters would be valid until the end of 2015, and the future price could be reduced further. The price for European gas for Ukraine may also become lower, according to Kobolev.
