"The moratorium on business inspections is imposed for eight months - until June 30. Thus, the restrictions will affect 41 out of 51 state control bodies," said Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Industrial Policy and Entrepreneurship Viktor Galasyuk.

According to the bill, business inspections can be initiated after registration of a complaint to be agreed with the State Regulatory Service.

In addition, unscheduled inspections may be carried out upon authorization of the Ukrainian government, at the request of an inspected entity, or based on a court decision.

The bill does not apply to those state supervision bodies, whose operations are regulated by a separate law.

During the previous period between April 2014 and July 2015, when the moratorium was introduced, the number of scheduled inspections was reduced by 83%, unscheduled - by 44%, while the amount of financial sanctions against legal entities decreased by four times, and those against individual persons - by eight times.
