Demchyshyn offers to extend contract with Russia for supply of electricity to Crimea

Ukrainian Energy and Coal Industry Minister Volodymyr Demchyshyn will offer the Cabinet of Ministers to extend the contract between Russia's Inter RAO and Ukrinterenergo for the supply of electricity to Crimea in 2016.

"The decision for the supply of electricity to Crimea was actually the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers. I will bring it up for discussion once again this year," Demchyshyn said during the parliament's hour of questions to the government on Friday.

As UNIAN reported earlier, on December 30, 2014, Ukraine and the Russian Federation signed two contracts for the supply of electricity.
