Current tariffs for natural gas for the households established by the National Commission for State Regulation in Energy and utilities in early 2015 will be valid until April 1, 2016, Naftogaz CEO Andriy Kobolev said in an interview with UNIAN.
"By the end of winter, gas tariffs for the population will remain at the current level (under 200 cbm per month – at UAH 3.6 per cubic meter, over 200 cbm – at UAH 7.188)," Kobolev said.
At the same time, he said that the government will introduce new parameters in gas prices for households and heat suppliers from April 1, 2016.
"I must admit that there was one positive moment, taking into account the planning of the tariff policy in Ukraine regarding gas. We are talking about a global drop in prices of raw material that may affect the rescheduling of price increase," Kobolev said.
According to Kobolev, the issue of reducing tariffs for gas for the population will be discussed with the IMF mission, which started its work in Ukraine on November 12.
