Oil prices rise slightly, Brent traded at $44.80 per barrel

Monday trading on November 16 saw oil prices increase slightly on news from the United States, after last week's collapse.

According to the London-based ICE, Brent futures rose by $0.74 to $44.80 per barrel, while WTI futures grew by $0.51, to $40.95.

The total number of U.S. rigs dropped by 4 units to 767, down by 0.51% as of last week, oil and gas service company Baker Hughes Inc. said. In annual terms, this figure dropped to 1,161 units, or 60.2%.

The horrific events in Paris are having a significant effect on the market. According to analysts, the terrorist attacks in the French capital have added to market anxiety and uncertainty, but the rise in oil prices is expected to be limited.
