Naftogaz calls tender for PR services in Europe, U.S.

NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine, one of Ukraine's largest vertically integrated oil and gas companies, has announced a tender to buy PR services for promotion on the European and U.S. markets, according to an official announcement on the company's website.

"The [Naftogaz of Ukraine] group is looking for support in building strong relations with media, professional community, government representatives and other stakeholders in the EU, the U.S. and other countries of interest," the announcement reads.

The scope of the agency's tasks includes developing and revising a communications program based on the company's strategic goals; drafting and distributing media statements; setting up media interviews, expert meetings and participation in relevant events for the company's management; organizing meetings with relevant governmental officials in the countries of interest; editing the contents of the corporate website, annual reports and corporate presentations, submitting regular media reports.

A successful candidate should demonstrate a proven track record of work with oil and gas companies and/or public sector in the EU, according to the announcement. The candidate is expected to have representative offices in Brussels, Berlin, Washington, and other locations key for the company's communications.

Naftogaz will not consider the agencies that represent or have represented Russian state-owned energy companies or the government of the Russian Federation, the announcement said.

UNIAN's memo. NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine is Ukraine's largest vertically integrated state-owned oil and gas producer, whose companies account for more than 97% of domestic production of oil and gas.

Naftogaz of Ukraine is engaged in mining, oil and gas extraction, transportation and sale of petroleum products through its own network of filling stations.

Naftogaz owns 100% shares of the largest gas producing company in Ukraine Ukrgasvydobuvannya, 100% of shares of Ukrtransgaz, the operator of Ukraine's gas transportation system, 100% shares of Ukrtransnafta and a 50%+1 share stake in Ukrnafta. Also, Naftogaz owns 100% of Chornomornaftogaz, which it stopped to control in spring 2014 after Russia had annexed Crimea, where the company is located.
