At about 04:00 on November 20, the company's control tower received a message about disabling of the Melitopol-Dzhankoy power transmission line – one of four power lines, through which electricity to the peninsula is supplied, the press service said.

"The dispatcher failed to re-enable the line. The repair workers of the Melitopol sector of Zaporizhia region arrived on the scene and found out that one of the pillars of the power line was damaged – obviously, having been blown up," the report says.

The scene is cordoned off at the moment. Law enforcers are examining the scene.

According to unofficial information, there were explosions on the other two lines, although the blasts failed to make them fall, so the power to Crimea was not completely interrupted.
