Ukraine's gas stocks shrink by 262 mcm within week

The reserves of natural gas in Ukrainian underground storage facilities (USFs) decreased by 262 million cubic meters (mcm), or 1.7%, to 16.570 billion cubic meters (bcm), in the period from November 14 to November 21, according to PJSC Ukrtransgaz, the operator of Ukraine's gas transportation system.

The company reports that nearly 28.8 mcm of gas was pumped out of the Ukrainian USFs on November 21.

Earlier, Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk announced the country would need to additionally import about 5 bcm of gas for the heating season.
