The company estimates its claims to Gazprom at $25.7 billion.

As UNIAN reported earlier, in June 2014, Naftogaz lodged a lawsuit against Gazprom with the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce. Naftogaz demands that Gazprom return over $12 billion for Russian gas bought in 2010-2014 at prices that were higher than actual quotes on the market. The Ukrainian company also seeks compensation of $11.7 billion under a gas transit contract. At the same time, Russian Gazprom filed a claim demanding the payment of $29.2 billion from Naftogaz.

The amount of claims to Gazprom under a gas supply contract has risen to $14 billion, as stated in Naftogaz's financial statements for nine months of 2015.
