Ukraine sees 9% drop in TPP stocks of deficit coal

The coal reserves of all brands at the warehouses of thermal power plants across Ukraine decreased 3.8% in one week.

Stocks of deficient anthracite coal in Ukraine’s TPPs decreased 8.7% to 785,300 tonnes from 860,000 tonnes  between November 30 and December 4, according to Ukrenergo state company.

The report says coal stocks of all brands decreased by 3.8% to 1.93 million tonnes in a week.

According to the Minister, Ukraine will receive 250,000 tonnes of coal from South Africa in December, and by yearend the total supply of coal should amount to at least 1 million tonnes.
