Over its 70 year history, the company has built up co-operation with partners in some 80 countries. This makes it one of Ukraine's most prominent commercial brands worldwide.
"We already have signed contracts for 40 units (of the AN-178 model military transport aircraft), which we plan to start producing in the near future. Is it possible to manage? We're doing our best. At least we plan to stay among the leaders of transport aviation," said Oleksandr Kotsuba, First Vice-President of Antonov, according to Ukraine Today.
Meanwhile, Antonov's AN-225 cargo transporter is the showroom piece of the company. The mesmerizing size of the plane called ‘Mriya', translated as ‘dream' in English, has drawn the company praise and prestige from cutomers and plane spotters alike.
