Energoatom’s revenue from sales of electricity increases 35% over 11 months

The operator of Ukraine’s nuclear power plants, state-owned Energoatom, increased in January-November, 2015, its revenue from selling electricity compared with January-October, 2014, by 34.8% - to UAH 35.375 billion, according to a company report.

Calculations of a wholesale electricity market for the electricity supplied by Energoatom in January-November amounted to UAH 91.159 billion (88.1%), the company says.

The report also notes that the debt of Energorynok state enterprise, the operator of the wholesale electricity market of Ukraine, before Energoatom totals UAH 10.381 billion, taking into account electricity supplied in previous periods.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Energoatom increased in 2014 its revenue from the sales of electricity by 34.9% - to UAH 27.794 billion, compared to 2013.

Ukraine ranks seventh in the world in terms of the installed capacity of its nuclear power generating units. Energoatom operates four nuclear power plants in Ukraine with 15 power generating units, all with VVER-type reactors. Zaporizhia nuclear power plant, operating six power units with a total capacity of 6 GW, is Europe's largest.
