Agriculture Ministry: Ukraine potential highly appreciated by foreign experts

Ukraine tops the list of the most promising markets, including that of agricultural products, according to analysts of the Netherlands-based ABN AMRO Bank, Ukrainian Agrarian Policy Ministry reported.

Dutch analysts note Ukraine’s high agricultural potential and investment attractiveness, especially in the field of agricultural machinery and fodder production.

Agrarian Minister Oleksiy Pavlenko praised the prospects of cooperation between Ukraine and the Netherlands in the agricultural sector. According to the minister, Ukraine is constantly expanding its markets for agricultural products and developing relations with Western countries, including the Netherlands.

Bank's analysts say that Ukraine's foreign trade is increasingly re-oriented to Western markets, making the agriculture sector more attractive for investment.

On November 26-27, Ukrainian Agrarian Minister Olexei Pavlenko visited the Netherlands as part of an official delegation headed by President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko. During the meeting of the Ukrainian Minister with his Dutch counterpart, the parties discussed prospects of bilateral cooperation between the two countries, as well as the need to hold the next session of the Working Group on Agriculture.
