Turkish and Ukrainian products, which have illegally been brought into the territory of the Russian Federation, will be destroyed from January 1, Head of Rospotrebnadzor (Russian Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing) Anna Popova said on Thursday, according to the BBC Russian Service.
"Any product that does not meet the quality requirements is utilized, it is common practice. Nothing new in this issue," Popova said.
However, she did not specify the way how exactly the goods would be destroyed.

She said that the Ukrainian and Turkish goods imported before January 1 would not be withdrawn from the shops.
