Yatsenyuk says Ukraine has enough gas, won't buy it from Russia at $212

"Currently there is about 13 billion cubic meters (bcm) of gas in Ukraine's underground storage facilities. This is 2.3 bcm more as compared with the last year," the prime minister said during the "10 minutes with the Prime Minister" TV show on Sunday.

"We have accumulated sufficient volumes of gas," he said.

The prime minister also noted that Ukraine did not buy gas from Russia.

"On January 1, they offered us the gas price set at $212 per 1,000 cubic meters. We do not buy Russian gas, because we are getting it at a lower price from the European Union. The average purchase price of gas from the European Union is about $200," Yatsenyuk said.
