ZAZ vehicles
Ukraine manufactured 8,244 vehicles last year, 71.3% from the previous year's volume, Ukrainian weekly newspaper Dzerkalo Tyzhnia reported referring to the Association of Ukrainian Motor Vehicle Manufacturers Ukrautoprom.
According to Ukrautoprom, Ukraine produced 5,654 passenger cars (78.2% down from the previous year), 1,716 commercial vehicles (11.2% down), and 874 buses (0.5% down).
Zaporizhia Automobile Building Plant was the leader in the manufacture of passenger cars – it assembled 3,937 cars.
Kremenchug Automobile Plant was in the lead in the production of commercial vehicles. It manufactured 1,401 units.
Cherkasy Bus Plant demonstrated the best performance in bus production, having manufactured 330 vehicles.
At the same time, Ukraine produced 1,292 passenger cars in December 2015, which was five times up year-over-year.
