Ukraine's gas stocks shrink by 600 mcm within week

Natural gas reserves in Ukraine's underground storage facilities (USFs) decreased by 582 million cubic meters (mcm), or 4.5%, to 12.322 billion cubic meters (bcm) from January 9 to January 16, according to PJSC Ukrtransgaz, the operator of Ukraine's gas transportation system.

The company reports that the average daily volume of gas pumped out of the USFs has reduced from 90 mcm to 73 mcm.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine plans to buy gas at a price lower than $200 per 1,000 cubic meters in the current year.

At the same time, the gas price outlined by the government in the 2016 budget is set at $225 per 1,000 cubic meters.
