Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade Ruslan Korzh, who was in charge of industrial policy, management of state property and the development of military-industrial complex, has decided to resign, the press service of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade reported.
"Like most of my colleagues, I came to the office from the business, considering this step as a volunteer aid to the country. Today, I am ready to go back to the real business. I was proud to work in the government's most reformist team, and I will be glad to continue cooperation in the future," the press service quoted Korzh as saying
"I believe that my experience and ideas developed during this year may be useful in reforming the management of public enterprises. In particular, I consider the opportunity to take part in the competition for the post in the management of one of the state industrial enterprises and continue working in the supervisory boards of our largest state-owned companies," he said.
Commenting on the resignation of Korzh, Ukrainian Minister of Economic Development and Trade Aivaras Abromavicius expressed gratitude for the work done. "I and our team are grateful to Ruslan that at one time, he took up a very difficult work. His experience in creating and implementing strategies for change was very helpful for us, because the reform of state-owned enterprises has been one of our priorities. State-owned companies are now in need of professional managers of such level," Abromavicius said.
