Ukrzaliznytsia bonds named best-performing investment in 2015 - Bloomberg

Corporate bonds of the Ukrainian State Administration of Railway Transport Ukrzaliznytsia have nabbed the top spot in the category of high-yield corporate bonds in 2015, the Ukrainian Center for Transport Strategy reported referring to Bloomberg.

Bloomberg estimated the performance of a wide range of assets in 2015, ranging from currencies and stock market indexes to commodities and junk bonds.

Ukrzaliznytsya eurobonds maturing in May 2018 have topped the list in junk bonds (high-yield bonds) segment, according to the report. Investment in a company's debt has generated yield of up to 90% in the course of a year, surpassing even Jamaican stocks' performance. The island nation's index rose more than 80%, according to Bloomberg. In the currency category, the Somali Shilling saw nice returns in 2015 (18% per year).
