The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine has said that the negative impact of the armed conflict in eastern Ukraine on the GDP decline amounted to 40% in 2015, according to the report on the implementation of the Ukraine-2020 program of the Cabinet of Ministers, published on the government portal.
"In general, the military conflict in the east of Ukraine has revealed the productive vulnerability of economic system of this region and the economy as a whole. According to the Ministry of Economic Development, more than 40% of the negative contribution to GDP dynamics is related to the situation in Donetsk and Luhansk regions," the report says.
