The National Bank of Ukraine on Friday evening lowered the official hryvnia exchange rate by two kopiykas, bringing the national currency to UAH 25.91 to the dollar.
The Central Bank set the following official exchange rates of the hryvnia against leading foreign currencies for February 8:
$100 costs UAH 2,591.2994 (on February 5, it was UAH 2,589.2673);
EUR 100 costs UAH 2,902.7736 (on February 5, it was UAH 2,901.5329);
10 RUB costs UAH 3.3505 (on February 5, it was UAH 3.3864).
On Friday, February 5, hryvnia quotations against the dollar on the interbank currency market by the close of trade settled at UAH 25.90/25.96 to the dollar.
Hryvnia quotes against the euro settled at UAH 28.9270/28.9920, while those against the Russian ruble settled at UAH 0.3350/0.3360.
According to the National Bank of Ukraine, the weighted average exchange rate of the hryvnia as of 16:00 was UAH 25.9130 to the dollar, with 512 deals concluded by this time worth a total of $301.54 million.
