Six Ukrainian producers launch dairy exports to China

Ukrainian Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Oleksiy Pavlenko announces that six Ukrainian producers began milk and dairy food exports China December 2015 through January 2016.

"The range of the exports includes dried milk, whey and cheese," the minister wrote on Facebook.

The following producers now export milk and dairy foods to China: a subsidiary of Starokostiantynivskyi Dairy Plant, Bashtanka Cheese Plant CJSC, PJSC Lityn Dairy Factory, Taraschamoloko LLC, Terra Food LLC, Agroprodexport LLC, according to Pavlenko.

Four of them received veterinary certificates for the export of milk and dairy products to China in December 2015. Another two companies obtained their certificates in January 2016, according to the report.

According to the minister, the relevant state agencies of Ukraine and China carried out a large amount of work to provide the Ukrainian dairy producers with access to the Chinese market.

"The Chinese market for dairy products has great potential. We are very proud that the experts on certification and veterinary control of the People's Republic of China appreciated the quality of the Ukrainian dairy products," the minister noted, adding that Ukraine would carry on work to expand sales markets for its farm products. 

As UNIAN reported earlier, on September 23, 2015, a total of 18 Ukrainian dairy producers were granted access to China's market. They included such major producers as Milkiland, Ukrprodukt, Milk Alliance, Dubnomoloko, Terra Food, and Tehmolprom.
