Volume of public procurement in 2015 recorded at UAH 112 bln

The actual volume of public procurement in Ukraine amounted to UAH 112.1 billion in 2015, according to the information posted on the website of the State Statistics Service.

UAH 79.7 billion of the total amount has been paid under contracts concluded in 2015. In particular, UAH 44.5 was spent on the goods, UAH 6.8 billion – on completed work, and another UAH 28.4 billion – on services.

At the same time, the total annual amount of funds the customers scheduled to conduct procurement in 2015 amounted to UAH 223.6 billion.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the Verkhovna Rada adopted February 4 the legislative changes necessary for the signing by the Speaker of Parliament and the President of a previously adopted law, which provides for the transfer of all public procurement to electronic Prozorro system.

Prozorro system has been operating in a pilot mode since February 2015, handling a little more than 2% of all public procurement in Ukraine. As of the end of 2015, the system involved more than 2,200 state-owned companies, which held about 37,000 tenders. Total volume of registered tenders amounted to about UAH 7 billion. As of the end of 2015, the system allowed to save 12% of the tenders’ volume, or more than UAH 500 million.
