"Ukraine expects to receive up to $8-10 billion for budget and investment needs in 2016, including $5.8 billion from the International Monetary Fund, which is the biggest portion; $1 billion in U.S. loan guarantee; EUR 1.2 billion from the EU," Jaresko said at a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Economic Policy.

Other funds will come from Japan, Switzerland, the European Union, Poland, Germany, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the European Investment Bank and the World Bank, the minister said.

According to Jaresko, the funds to be raised from the EBRD, the World Bank and Poland will be spent on investment projects.

As UNIAN reported earlier, IMF Managing Director Christine Lagarde said that the IMF was concerned about the situation in Ukraine, the weakening of the public administration reform and the lack of an effective fight against corruption. In this regard, the Fund said it could suspend the program of cooperation with Ukraine, as it would be very difficult to implement it.
