Prime Minister of Turkey Ahmet Davutoglu says his country is ready to boost investment in Ukraine and invigorate bilateral trade.
"Ukraine is a close friend and ally of Turkey," he said while meeting with Ukrainian Parliament Speaker Volodymyr Groysman in Kyiv on Monday.
Davutoglu says that a future free trade area between Ukraine and Turkey will give the boost to bilateral trade.
In this connection, the Turkish premier called on the Ukrainian parliament to ratify an agreement on the free trade area as soon as possible after the completion of trade talks and the signing of the agreement.
The sides also discussed prospects for further bilateral relations and touched on challenges related to Russian aggression.
Groysman thanked Turkey for support of Ukraine and Crimean Tatars in particular, "who have been suffering from the action of the Russian occupying authorities."
