A decline in GDP in Ukraine in the fourth quarter of 2015 slowed to 1.2% year-over-year against a 7.2% decline recorded in the third quarter year-over-year, according to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.
What is more, Ukraine saw a 1.5% GDP growth in the fourth quarter from the third quarter due to seasonal factors.
The third quarter of 2015 was the first to demonstrate GDP growth (by 0.5%) from the previous quarter in the past two years.
The State Statistics Service did not report GDP indicators for the entire 2015.
The report does not include data from the Russian-occupied Crimea and the Anti-Terrorist Operation zone in Donbas.
The National Bank of Ukraine earlier estimated Ukraine's GDP decline in 2015 at 10.5%, while the Economic Development and Trade Ministry says GDP declined by 10.4% last year.
