Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk says business inspections in Ukraine will resume after corruption that has previously been an integral part of those checks has been eliminated.
"We will resume state supervision, but I will not let corruption that accompanied the inspection return…Earlier they inspected and took bribes. Now, we're implementing a comprehensive civil service reform. And it is necessary to talk more about it," Yatsenyuk told Ukrainian TV channels on Sunday evening.
As UNIAN reported earlier, in November 2015 the Verkhovna Rada adopted a bill in the first reading to extend a moratorium on business inspections until June 30, 2016. The bill was developed by Ukraine's Ministry of Economic Development and Trade. The government said it might initiate the extension of the moratorium until the end of 2016.
