The National Bank of Ukraine on Tuesday evening lowered the official hryvnia exchange rate by 22 kopiykas, bringing the national currency to UAH 27.23 to the dollar.
The Central Bank set the following official exchange rates of the hryvnia against leading foreign currencies for February 24:
$100 costs UAH 2,723.3858 (on February 23, it was UAH 2,701.4507);
EUR 100 costs UAH 2,996.2691 (on February 23, it was UAH 2,978.6195);
10 RUB costs UAH 3.5308 (on February 23, it was UAH 3.5023).
On Tuesday, February 23, hryvnia quotations against the dollar on the interbank currency market by the close of trade settled at UAH 27.20/27.30 to the dollar.
Hryvnia quotes against the euro settled at UAH 29.9170/30.0210, while those against the Russian ruble settled at UAH 0.3610/0.3630.
According to the National Bank of Ukraine, the weighted average exchange rate of the hryvnia as of 17:00 was UAH 27.2339 to the dollar, with 512 deals concluded by this time worth a total of $324.96 million.
