The National Bank of Ukraine on Wednesday evening strengthened the official hryvnia exchange rate by two kopiykas, bringing the national currency to UAH 27.21 to the dollar.
The Central Bank set the following official exchange rates of the hryvnia against leading foreign currencies for February 25:
$100 costs UAH 2,721.8630 (on February 24, it was UAH 2,723.3858);
EUR 100 costs UAH 2,988.8778 (on February 24, it was UAH 2,996.2691);
10 RUB costs UAH 3.5630 (on February 24, it was UAH 3.5308).
On Wednesday, February 24, hryvnia quotations against the dollar on the interbank currency market by the close of trade settled at UAH 27.25/27.35 to the dollar.
Hryvnia quotes against the euro settled at UAH 30.0050/30.1150, while those against the Russian ruble settled at UAH 0.3510/0.3530.
According to the National Bank of Ukraine, the weighted average exchange rate of the hryvnia as of 17:00 was UAH 27.2186 to the dollar, with 531 deals concluded by this time worth a total of $315.45 million.
