According to the report, relevant agreements were signed during a meeting of Deputy Head of the State Veterinary and Phytosanitary Service of Ukraine Oleksandr Verzhykhovsky and Abdel Rahim Mohammed Al Hammadi, Undersecretary of the UAE Ministry of Environment and Water.

During the meeting, Al Hammadi said that a ban on exports of beef from Ukraine has been lifted and the access to the UAE market has been approved for Ukrainian companies that have the right to export poultry to the EU. The Ukrainian side has provided drafts of veterinary certificates for export of milk and dairy products, fish and fish products, as well as eggs to the UAE, according to the report.

A list of companies authorized to export poultry to the UAE includes PJSC Myronivska Poultry Farm, LLC Snyatynska Nova Poultry Farm, Myronivsky Meat Processing Plant "Lehko", LLC Vinnytsia Poultry Farm (all belonging to MHP agricultural holding), as well as CJSC Agromars Complex.

The parties agreed to quickly draw up the veterinary certificate for exports of honey from Ukraine and health certificates for exports of confectionary, canned fruit and vegetables and other food.

The UAE, in turn, expect to be able to export their traditional products, particularly camel milk and fish, to Ukraine.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the Ukrainian Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food is also holding talks with the authorities in Iran, India and Bangladesh to receive permits to export Ukrainian farm produce to those countries.

As part of a government policy on diversifying foreign markets, last year Ukrainian producers received permits to export eggs to Israel, poultry to Egypt and Saudi Arabia, dairy products to China and the EU. In addition, companies producing meat and dairy products were also granted access to the markets of Moldova, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia and Uzbekistan.

According to Ukraine's Agrarian Ministry, Asian markets accounted for 47% of the Ukrainian farm produce exports in 2015.
