The company reports that in February 2016 Ukraine imported 1.252 bcm of gas, as compared to February 2015 with imports amounting to 2.1 bcm.

According to the report, Slovakia provided 90% of Ukraine's gas needs in February.

Russian gas imports have been suspended for 96 days, according to Ukrtransgaz.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Vice-President for Energy Union Maros Sefcovic suggested holding tripartite gas talks between Ukraine and Russia at the end of the heating season that would last until April 15, 2016.

Sefcovic also urged Ukraine to start preparations for the next heating season and a new round of negotiations with Gazprom, as the gas dispute between Ukraine's Naftogaz and Russia's gas monopoly Gazprom might not be resolved by the end of the year.
