A tripartite meeting on gas issues with the participation of the European Union will take place before the end of March, said Ukraine’s Minister of Energy and Coal Industry Volodymyr Demchyshyn.
"The meeting will be held, we’re planning it. It will definitely take place before the end of the month," the minister said.
Demchyshyn noted that the tripartite negotiations will address both the issues of gas transit and gas purchase.
As UNIAN reported earlier, Vice-President of the European Commission, Maros Sefcovic on March 1 proposed trilateral gas talks with Ukraine and Russia in the end of the heating season, which should have been completed by April 15, 2016.
