Yatsenyuk pledges to raise social standards by 6% in May

At the first stage of social standards improvement in Ukraine there will be a 6% increase, he said during the "10 Minutes with the Prime Minister" TV program on Sunday evening.

"This year we plan to raise social standards by a total of 12%," he said.

The prime minister also stressed that he had instructed the relevant ministries to already start developing necessary documents to ensure that increased wages and pensions "would reach every citizen of the country by May of this year."
