The restrictions on cooperation with Ukraine’s defense giant Ukroboronprom were due to the fact that the country’s defense structures used to be corrupt and penetrated by agents of foreign intelligence services, that’s according to Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko who met with the mid-ranking military commanders at the National Defense University in Kyiv, according to an UNIAN correspondent.
"A message was just received from the United States that certain restrictions on interaction with Ukroboronprom were removed," he said.
According to Poroshenko, these restrictions were due to the fact that, in previous years, under the former government, Ukraine’s defense structures were corrupt and full of agents of foreign intelligence services.
