IAEA inspection of Zaporizhia NPP power unit No. 3 successful

Inspectors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) have successfully conducted a regular scheduled inspection of power unit No. 3 at Zaporizhia nuclear power plant (NPP), according to the press service of state company Energoatom.

"From June 4 to June 7, 2016 IAEA inspectors carried out a regular scheduled inspection of power unit No. 3 at Zaporizhia NPP ... According to Serhiy Klimov, the nuclear safety department head, the inspection has been carried out successfully, without any problems," a statement reads.

It is reported that the inspection was held in the framework of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons signed between Ukraine and the IAEA.
