Ukraine sees growth of monetary base

The monetary base in Ukraine increased by 4.5% in June, as compared to May, to reach UAH 352.649 billion, according to the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU).

Further, since the beginning of the year, the nation’s monetary base has increased by 5%, according to data published by the NBU.

Additionally, the monetary aggregate M3 grew by 1.5% in June, and by 4.2% since the beginning of the year, and now stands at UAH 1.035 trillion.

As UNIAN reported earlier, in May the monetary base in Ukraine increased by 0.5% to UAH 337.402 billion, as compared to April.

The monetary base in 2015 grew 0.8% to UAH 336 billion.
