State joint stock holding company Artem (Kyiv), manufacturer of consumer goods and goods for the defense industry, produced goods worth UAH 386.3 million in January-June 2016, up by 89%, according to the Ukroboronprom press service.
In particular, the company saw its net profit for the reporting period climb by 5% to UAH 5.4 million. In addition, the company supplied 150 rounds for guided missiles to the Ukrainian army and also began production of combined countermeasure dispenser systems to defeat infrared homing missiles.
As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine's major state-owned arms manufacturer Ukroboronprom has handed over 646 units of new and upgraded machines to the Ukrainian army since the beginning of the year.
